The 1961 UC Davis football team represented the University of California, Davis in the 1961 College Division football season. UC Davis competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC)[note 1]. The UC Davis sports teams were commonly called the “Cal Aggies” from 1924 until the mid 1970s.
The Aggies were led by sixth-year head coach Will Lotter. They played home games at Aggie Field[note 2]. The Aggies finished the season with a record of five wins and four losses (5–4, 3–2 FWC). They outscored their opponents 173–111 for the 1961 season.
