李方桂（Li Fang-kuei）（1902年8月20日－1987年8月21日），中華民國语言学家。山西昔阳县人，生於廣州。

生平
李是中国在国外专门修读语言学的第一人，他1924年毕业于清华学校（清华大学）高等科，同年赴美国留学，在萨丕尔的指导之下研究印第安语，进行实地调查。1928年获芝加哥大学博士学位，其论文题目为《馬投爾語—种德内语支》，在1930年出版。
1929年回国后任中央研究院历史语言研究所研究员。从此以后，他从事田野调查，描写壯侗語族的许多语言（壮族的龙州话和武鸣话），同时也对上古汉语和古藏文进行了深入的研究。学生有柯蔚南和康达维等。
李方桂1948年当选中央研究院第一届院士，1949年以后先后任美国夏威夷大学和西雅图华盛顿大学语言学教授，20世纪50年代初曾当选美国语言学会副主席。
在1977年发表了台语比较手册，是他40多年的研究成果的结晶。曾於1973年在中央研究院工作。

- 祖父李希蓮，字亦青，號仙峰。咸豐十年（1860年）庚申恩科二甲第十名進士。
- 父李光宇，字簡齋，號印巖，光緒六年（1880年）庚辰科三甲第二十四名進士。
- 外祖父何乃瑩，光緒六年（1880年）庚辰科二甲第七十六名進士。
- 妻子徐樱是北洋军阀皖系将领徐树铮长女。
