Great amounts of water were required to carry out the erosion shown in this Viking image. Image is located in Lunae Palus quadrangle. The erosion shaped the ejecta around Dromore. | |

Dromore is a crater on Mars, located within the outflow channel Maja Valles in the Lunae Palus quadrangle at 20.1 N and 49.7 W. It measures 14.8 kilometers in diameter and was named after a town in Northern Ireland.[1]
Dromore is famous for showing clear evidence that it was affected by floods of water which broke through dams, carved deep valleys, and eroded grooves into bedrock.
