该药物存在一些副作用，[1]例如血细胞水平低、恶心以及使电解质平衡紊乱。[2][1]其它严重的副作用还包括过敏反应，以及增加了将来患癌风险。[1]孕期使用会对婴儿造成伤害，卡铂在铂基抗肿瘤药物中，通过干扰DNA的复制而发挥作用。[1][3]
